Baptism

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,"

Matthew 28:19

Believer's Baptism

Christian baptism by immersion is the solemn and beautiful testimony of a believer.  It is a public demonstration of the believer's faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and their union with Him in death to sin and resurrection to a new life.  It is also a sign of fellowship and identification with the visible Body of Christ. Baptism is a critical step of obedience to our Lord Jesus. If you are a believer and have not yet been baptized, we urge you to pursue Christian baptism.

Here is some information on biblical baptism and how to complete the baptism process here at Parker Bible.

Baptism Process

1. Apply for Baptism

Once you have read our Baptism Booklet, you may apply online to attend a baptism class.

2. Attend a Baptism Class

The baptism classes occur periodically every year typically during the Equipping Hour on a Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. During the class, a variety of topics will be covered, including:

  • What is the Gospel?
  • What is Baptism?
  • Who Should Be Baptized?
  • Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?
  • How does the Baptism Process work at Parker Bible?

Please look for the next baptism class in the church bulletin.

3. Be Baptized

After successfully completing your baptism application and the baptism class, you could be eligible to participate in the last milestone: the Baptism Service.
A few times throughout the year, our morning worship service is designated as a Baptism Service. Each participant will share their testimony with the congregation before being baptized. These services are a highlight in the life of the church as each one shares the wonderful work of salvation that Christ has done in their life.
